Legal Transcription (CET Prep)
Course Access: 365 days / Equipment Requirements: MS Word (Microsoft Word 2016, 2019, and Office 365), Infinity USB Foot Pedal, headphones, and free version of Express Scribe software. PC-based computer with Windows 8.1 or better. (Most software companies in this industry are PC friendly. You can use a Mac in this course, but we do not offer support for Mac-specific questions.)
This 100-hour course is designed to be taken by a person wishing to become certified through AAERT as a legal transcriptionist.
Individuals taking this course will learn about the court system, legal procedure, terminology, ethics, professionalism, confidentiality.
Students will gain the knowledge to format, transcribe, and proofread legal transcripts for correct grammar, punctuation, and word usage.
