Transcription English, Grammar, and Punctuation

This 20-hour course will cover the following topics, specifically as they relate to legal transcription: 

• Parts of speech
• General spelling rules
• Confusing words
• Capitalization
• Formatting
• Punctuation     

A deep understanding of the English language as well as spelling, grammar, formatting, and punctuation is necessary to succeed as a transcriptionist. This course will review familiar concepts as well as introduce new ones in order to best prepare you to handle complex transcription assignments.
